Andie Murray, Ph.D.
Andrea (Andie) Murray, Ph.D. (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist in California with a telehealth license in Florida and a Clinical Associate at West Coast CBT. Dr. Murray is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) by the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies and received intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) during her postdoctoral residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She has also been directly trained by Dr. John Forsyth, a renowned expert and researcher in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Dr. Murray specializes in working with adolescents and adults experiencing borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and LGBTQ+ concerns. She is deeply committed to providing affirming care for queer and transgender individuals, offering support for gender identity exploration, transitioning, and navigating systemic challenges. Dr. Murray also works with couples, utilizing CBT and DBT techniques to help improve relationships.
In addition to her specialties, Dr. Murray has extensive experience treating anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and mood disorders. She trained in the Weight & Eating Disorders Laboratory at the University at Albany, State University of New York, where her research explored the intersection of eating disorders and sexual orientation. She has presented her work at national psychology conferences and contributed to several peer-reviewed psychology journals and book chapters.
Dr. Murray earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and completed her postdoctoral residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center’s CBT/Dissemination Program.

Elise Yoshida, Psy.D.
Elise Yoshida (she/her) is a clinical associate at West Coast CBT and is a licensed clinical psychologist in California and Hawaii. Dr. Yoshida provides individualized evidence-based care to adults by creating cognitive-behavioral treatment plans specific to each person based on their identities, histories, and needs. Having been certified as a CBT clinician and consultant by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, intensively trained in DBT and CBASP during her postdoctoral residency at Harbor-UCLA hospital, and extensively trained in ACT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and CPT throughout her graduate career, Dr. Yoshida specializes in working with adults who struggle with managing anxiety, coping with depression, healing from trauma, and navigating intense emotions.
Dr. Yoshida received her B.A. in psychology with honors from Claremont McKenna College and her master's and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium. Dr. Yoshida completed her predoctoral internship at University of San Francisco's Counseling and Psychological Services and postdoctoral residency at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Adult Outpatient CBT/DBT Program.

Mikaela Kinnear, Ph.D.
Mikaela Kinnear (she/her) is a clinical associate at West Coast CBT and is a licensed clinical psychologist in California. Dr. Kinnear has in-depth training in evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, adults, and families with a focus on providing behavioral interventions including CBT and DBT-informed therapy. Dr. Kinnear has been trained to provide treatment for most major mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, and autism-spectrum disorders. Dr. Kinnear has a special interest in using evidence-based principles of change with individuals on the autism spectrum and has intensive training in the “AIM-HI” treatment for ASD.
Dr. Kinnear received her B.S. in cognitive science from the University of California, San Diego and her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. Dr. Kinnear completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residencies at the Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Finally, Dr. Kinnear served as the Director of Clinical Services at the San Diego State University Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders.
Christopher Hawkey, Ph.D.
Christopher Hawkey (he/him/his) is the founder of West Coast CBT and is a licensed clinical psychologist in California. Dr. Hawkey has extensive training in evidence-based interventions with a focus on providing CBT and DBT to adolescents, adults, parents, and families. Dr. Hawkey is a DBT - Linehan Board Certified Clinician and has experience working with a variety of clinical presentations including anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, suicidal and self-harm behavior, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and PTSD. Dr. Hawkey takes special interest in serving sexual and gender minorities including women and the LGBTQ+ community. Dr. Hawkey’s past research focused on suicide and self-harm in bipolar adolescents and family factors in adolescents with mood disorders.
Dr. Hawkey received his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder and completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Duke University School of Medicine, where he was the first-ever recipient of the Karen Wells Professionalism award. Dr. Hawkey then completed his post-doctoral residency at the Portland DBT Institute, which is the oldest free-standing DBT clinic in the world. Finally, Dr. Hawkey worked as operations director at CBT California before moving to south Orange County to start his own CBT/DBT practice.

Hollie Granato, Ph.D.
Dr. Hollie Granato (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Beverly Hills, CA and an assistant professor at UCLA in the David Geffen School of Medicine, as well as voluntary clinical faculty at the University of Southern California. Hollie has trained extensively with the treatment developers of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy, and has published on the implementation of a DBT-PE protocol. Hollie has a strong commitment to the training and dissemination of evidence-based practice, and she currently serves as the clinical lead for DBT in Los Angeles county and the assistant training director for the doctoral externship training program at Harbor – UCLA. Hollie strives to serve the psychological community and is currently an elected board member of the Southern California Acceptance and Commitment Therapy organization, ACBS.org. In her spare time, as a certified yoga instructor Hollie offers donation based yoga classes to mental health providers seeking to decrease burnout and increase their own personal mindfulness skills practice. Dr. Granato serves as a clinical team consultant to West Coast CBT as a member of our CBT/DBT Consultation Team.
Amanda Loerinc Guinyard, Ph.D.
Dr. Amanda Loerinc Guinyard (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Massachusetts, California, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. She specializes in the delivery of CBT and DBT for adults and adolescents with anxiety disorders, depression, and pervasive emotion dysregulation. She has extensive training in prolonged exposure and cognitive processing therapy for PTSD and teaching DBT parent skills. Amanda provides training and consultation in CBT to psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals both nationally and internationally. Additionally, Amanda provides trainings on the inhibitory learning model and positive affect treatment.
Laura Rindlaub, Ph.D.
Dr. Laura Rindlaub (she/her) is a clinical psychologist in private practice and is licensed in NJ and NY. Laura specializes in using scientifically supported treatments for a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties, particularly depression, anxiety, disruptive behaviors, trauma, and personality disorders. She has extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with youth, adults, and families and is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In addition, Dr. Rindlaub has training and experience with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPT-A), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She has also led numerous trainings for school-based clinicians in the New York City public schools on the implementation of CBT in schools.
Sara Schmidt, Ph.D.
Dr. Sara Schmidt (she/her) is a DBT-LBC board certified clinical psychologist in private practice in WA and is authorized to practice inter-jurisdictional telepsychology through PSYPACT for individuals residing in participating states. Sara is a recognized expert in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE) protocol for PTSD, and regularly provides training and consultation in these treatments both nationally and internationally. Additionally, Sara is the co-developer of the DBT Adherence Checklist for Individual Therapy (DBT AC-I), a tool that can be used by DBT therapists to evaluate the degree to which they are delivering DBT in a way that is consistent with the treatment manual. She has published several peer reviewed articles and book chapters on these topics.
Aditi Vijay, Ph.D.
Dr. Vijay (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in using evidence-based approaches in the treatment of psychopathology. She holds a faculty appointment at Kean University and is the founder of a private practice in New York City. Dr. Vijay began her career as a Teach For America teacher in the South Bronx and this experience continues to impact how she works with people. She earned her undergraduate degree in History and Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a Master of Arts in the Teaching of Social Studies at Columbia University, a Master of Education, with a specialization in Risk and Prevention, at Harvard University, and her doctorate in psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Maryland Health Care System/University of Maryland School of Medicine where she received the award for Outstanding Intern of the Year.
Dr. Vijay has received training in cognitive-behavioral approaches to the treatment of psychopathology. She has expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Prolonged Exposure for Trauma, Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. Vijay has extensive experience in providing, supervising and training in DBT and evidence-based trauma-based interventions. She has consulted on the implementation and practice of DBT in a variety of settings including schools, residential treatment facilities, juvenile justice organizations, hospitals, and private practices. She has conducted large scale trainings in DBT to clinicians and state-level agencies. She consults and trains clinicians in implementing adherent DBT, developing and implementing their own DBT programs, and on improving DBT consultation team practices.
